Turning Leaf

Forty years ago California developed much of its reputation as a world-class growing region because of the quality of the Cabernet Sauvignon grown in Sonoma County and the Napa Valley. Today this varietal is cultivated widely throughout the state with many excellent regional examples providing intriguing variations of flavor and character. In effect, California Cabernet Sauvignon has become a single grape variety that offers a great range of signature tastes. Turning Leaf Cabernet reflects the quality and unique influences found in the Central Valley, part of California’s vast Central Coast appellation. Vineyards here experience warm daytime temperatures and cooler temperatures at night. Such a pattern creates an ideal average throughout much of the growing season. Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, when they aren’t rushed to mature, develop intense, fruit-forward flavors on the vine, a characteristic that Turning Leaf winemakers eagerly nurture and express in the finished wine.

FlipFlop

Full-bodied, rich Cabernet Sauvignon with blackberry fruit, dark cherries and a long lingering finish. Black pepper notes and berry aromas pair well with New York strip steak, spinach ravioli or portobello mushrooms. Dry.
